About
The Bearville Rewritten server is a server specifically aimed at fans of the game Build-A-Bearville, or people interested in helping out the team. We started our server in 2019 and began the development process during the pandemic. Our goal is to bring as much of the original game back to life as possible, making it as accurate to the original as we can. With help from our members, VIB's and incredible staff team, we can get this project moving faster.
We are a small staff team dedicated to bringing the game back to life bit by bit. We already have hit several milestones, including recreating functioning minigames (available to play in the Bearville Arcade), releasing a cleaner, enhanced version of the original soundtrack and creating a Bearville demo available for users to download and play.
When possible, Q&A sessions are held by some of our CyBearGuides to answer any questions you may have about the game, development and to validate any suggestions you may have. Please note that only questions that we have a certain answer for will be answered in these Q&A sessions.
We have many ideas for the future and are discussing reopening Developer Applications and Artist/Graphic Designer Applications for anyone who may be interested and who has experience in either of these fields.
We love getting involved with the community, so game nights, such as Kahoot! or Draw It sessions, and movie nights may happen when enough members are interested in getting involved. We also have a new feature - Pawsome Pics! This takes inspiration from the monthly photos in the Bearville Times from the original game - send us your old memories from the game or pictures of your current/old Build-A-Bears for a chance to be featured!
We are currently trying to expand our server, so getting the word out about our project is much appreciated. Whilst our progress in development has been rocky, we are very dedicated to getting as much of the original game as possible out for the public to enjoy. We always post big updates in our #bvr-updates and #announcements channels on our discord to make sure all members are up to date with development.
We have several other social media pages where we post regularly. These include our Twitter, TikTok and YouTube accounts.
