About

We are a group of people interested in understanding intelligence from both biological and artificial perspectives. The focus is on neuroscience, cognition, and AGI, and how these areas inform each other. We aim to build a space for thoughtful discussion that values clarity, evidence, and curiosity over hype or ideology.

Members come from many backgrounds: researchers, engineers, students, and independent thinkers. Conversation often moves between hippocampal maps, neuromodulators like acetylcholine, schema learning, and the structure of deep learning systems. Some approach these questions through the language of neurons, others through algorithms, but everyone shares the goal of connecting how real and artificial systems learn and adapt.

Our culture values rational empathy and open-minded skepticism. People are encouraged to challenge ideas, but not each other. We believe good discussion comes from intellectual humility and the willingness to see things from new perspectives. Routine thinking is useful, but stepping outside it is how real insight happens.

This community also reflects a broader theme: the health of the mind depends on novelty. Just as the brain rewires itself when learning new schemas, we grow by exploring unfamiliar ideas and patterns. In doing so, we strengthen both our understanding and our creativity.

If you enjoy reasoning through complex topics, asking better questions, and finding links between neuroscience and machine intelligence, you will fit in well here. Join in, stay curious, and help us map the space between minds and machines.
